The Saudi Arabian Grid Code is a set of technical rules and standards that regulate the planning, operation, maintenance, and connection of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. According to the Grid Code, power plants must submit an application for interconnection with the national transmission system operator, National Grid SA, and thereafter enter into a connection agreement. The Grid Code includes requirements for the voltage, frequency and modulation of renewable resource generation, including solar energy.
